John Ashby
John Ashby, Founder:
John Ashby is a Certified Senior Advisor, researcher, and founder of the Ashby Memory Method, which is based on the pioneering brain injury research of his mother, Dr. Mira Ashby, who received the Order of Canada in 1984. A health care professional with a broad clinical background spanning 24 years, he has worked in emergency medicine (EMT-P), neuropsychology (clinical assistant), neuropsychiatry (clinical consultant) and in neurorehabilitation and geriatric care with brain-injured patients and seniors. John Ashby is the principal research partner in the Ashby Memory Method (Cognitive Retention Therapy) program which for the past 2.5 years has been used by approximately 250 patients in the U.S. and Canada. He is a lecturer, trainer, author, and facilitator for the Alzheimer’s Innovation Institute.

Joan Crockatt
Joan Crockatt, Chief Executive Officer:
Joan Crockatt is a senior media executive with 15 years experience that includes managing editor, executive editor, and Director of Editorial for CanWest Global Communications, Southam Newspapers and Hollinger Canadian Newspapers, overseeing 59 major metropolitan Canadian daily newspapers. An entrepreneur and president of Crockatt Communications Ltd., she specializes in communications, marketing and business management. She is a respected political commentator and recipient of the Op-Ed Editors Award of North America for an extensive series examining Canadian-US Health Care. She holds a B.A., has studied strategic thinking at London School of Economics and is a former Southam Fellow at the University of Toronto where she specialized in International Trade and Finance.

Jeff Wigmore
Jeff Wigmore, President:
Jeff Wigmore is an entrepreneur, senior partner in the Alzheimer’s Innovation Institute and a marketing and technology specialist with experience commercializing a nation-wide medical records technology program, National Medical Solutions. He is Director of Product Development for the Ashby Memory Method and is a skilled negotiator with 10 years experience negotiating on behalf of physician groups during his tenure with the British Columbia Medical Association. He holds a double major (Hons) in Economics & Business and Natural Science from Westmont Liberal Arts College, Santa Barbara, CA.

Susan Bessant
Susan Bessant, VP Client Care:
Susan Bessant is a faculty member of the Canadian Academy of Senior Advisors and an entrepreneur specializing in aging. She has over six years experience as the President and CEO of The Signature Care Corp., the leading seniors’ care company based in Calgary, Canada. She received the Better Business Bureau Business Ethics Awards in 2006 for exemplary business and customer relations practices and is the recipient of a Service Excellence Award from the Vancouver-based Canadian Academy of Senior Advisors. She has extensive financial and senior management expertise with over 20 years in banking and finance with ScotiaBank.

Donald Chapman
Donald Chapman, Chairman of the Board:
Don Chapman has over 35 years experience in managing and marketing high technology companies, products and services. His multidimensional skills include hands-on development of channels of distribution, software and financial management, and the negotiation of both national and international agreements. He possesses extensive insight and experience in the strategies and objectives of corporations and specializes in assisting company expansion in the international marketplace. He is a guest lecturer at the University of Calgary in the MBA program, as well as other international business programs.
